Library

Rajah School Library provides a welcoming learning atmosphere for students and staff alike. It supports the school’s aims and curriculum. It promotes the fondness of reading and the expansion of students’ independent learning skills. The library, with its excellent collection of around 10,000 books, good subscription of periodicals and a vast collection of multimedia software sustains and stimulates the teaching and learning needs in the School. It is pivotal in providing information and ideas that are crucial for becoming successful in today’s information and knowledge driven world. The school library is designed to prepare students with life-long learning skills and develop in them imagination.

According to the school time table the students of Class I to XII have library periods every week. Students can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can refer books and participate in library activities during this time. Moreover, the students are free to come to the library at any time. The library follows an open access system. The books are classified and shelved according to the Dewey decimal classification. Junior fiction is shelved separately. The stock and services of the library has been automated.
