CBSE has implemented CCE, the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation in schools to bring some desirable changes in education system. It is a new system of assessing student’s performance through FORMATIVE and SUMMATIVE assessments. It aims at evaluating every aspect of the child and ensures the holistic development of the personality of each child. The overall goal of assessment is to improve student learning and provides students, teachers and parents with valid information concerning student progress. Evidence of learning could take the form of dialogue, journals; written work, portfolios and tests along with many other learning tasks. It is hoped that the parents will appreciate the need for holistic assessment and encourage their children to develop skills in all areas.
